Event Invitation Spam was created by Cal
As of two days ago we started noticing that there were spam emails coming out in the form of the Event Invitation for EB. Is there any way to add a Captcha to the Invite popup to make it check that it is a person wanting to send the invite?

Hi Cal

In latest version (1.6.6), we support Joomla core captcha in event invitation page. So upgrade your site to that latest version and use captcha to prevent spam

I am using 1.6.6, did not want to update just yet. The problem is when I enable the captcha (google with core joomla) it shows a required but it does not show the box. I tried to put in a custom html module to the top area and left (after the form) like google said to do, but it had no effect. no one can check out of there becuase there is no showing of the captcha

There might be some javascript conflict on your site and it causes the issue. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can ask my developer to look at it and get it sorted for you

The problem is when I enable the captcha (google with core joomla) it shows a required but it does not show the box.

I noticed the same problem on my site... Captcha works fine on my reg forms, but comes up as an empty box on invites. Looking at live code, it seems like there is no JS loading for ReCaptcha?? Haven't had time to trouble shoot it yet. Running v1.6.9.

@James : Please submit a support ticket so that we can check it for you. Yesterday, my dev checked and found javascript conflict (to be honest, I am not sure what's the conflict) on @QC website and got it fixed. Maybe same thing with your site as well
