Registration Cancellation was created by Laverne
Hello,
I have two questions:
1. I have a paid event and I want people to be able to cancel their own registration. I have enabled the EB Register Plugin, and set the "Enable Cancel Registration" option to 'yes'. I then registered for the event to test it out, received the payment, etc. But when I return to the site, there is no 'Cancel Registration' button or anything that shows up anywhere. I even tried to register with the same info again but no button showed up still.
What am I missing? Do people have to login to the joomla part of the site or something like that?
I forgot to mention that I created a menu item to 'Registration History' but when I click it, it says "Message NOT_AUTHORIZED" and just lists the event category. When I go the event, there still is nothing anywhere that says 'Cancel Registration' or anything like that.
2. I enabled the "Waiting List" feature (on the same paid event) and tested it by filling up the registrations and then adding someone to the waiting list. I then cancelled a couple of people so there is room, however the people on the waiting list were not notified. Is this a manual thing, where the administrator has to go into the back end, check the waiting list and manually email them to let them know there is room?
Thank you for your help!

I added the 'Manage Registrants' menu item for joomla registered users. (Do event registered people have to have a joomla user id to cancel their registration??) When I logged into the site and clicked on that menu item it took me to the registered people. I clicked on one of the registered people and got the detailed information with the 'Cancel Registration' button at the bottom. However, when I clicked that button I got the error message that said "Message: Invalid Action" and the registration was not cancelled. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!

Hi Laverne
You will need to login in order to cancel your registration. Without loggin in, the extension won't be able to know that you registered for the event and it won't show the cancel button.
Hope the explanation is clear to you.

Thanks Tuan. That makes sense. However, there is still a problem. I can login, go to "Manage Registrants" and click on the details of a registered person. This gives me the "Cancel Registration" button. But when I click it, I get the error: "Message: Invalid Action" and the person is still registered. See the attached image.
Please advise me on what to do. Thank you!

That's strange Laverne. It seems you registered for an account after registering for the event, is that correct ? If so, this bug was fixed last week. Could you please login to your account, access to My Downloads menu item, see your order , download latest version, upgrade to your site and check it again ?

Hi Tuan,
No, I didn't create the login ID after registering for the event. I'm logged in as the super user (administrator) and trying to delete a registered person. Is there something else I'm doing wrong? Do the permissions need to be configured a certain way to allow this?
Also, I can't re-install because Events Booking is not showing up in "My Downloads", and neither is the PayPal Pro plugin, which I also purchased.
Thanks for your help Tuan.

Hi Laverne
That's strange. So what you actual want to do :
1. You are a registrant and want to cancel your registration ?
2. Or you are administrator of the site and want to delete a registration record ?
Please let me know so that I can guide you more details ?

Yep, I'm the administrator. If someone emails and wants to cancel their registration, I want to be able to delete the record so that there is a space freed up for the waiting list.

If it is simply like that, why don't you simply login to back-end of your site to delete the registrants ?
Regarding your purchase, please submit a support ticket let us know the Paypal account you used to purchase the extension. I will check order and assign it to your account so that you can login to download it.

Sorry - I didn't make that very clear. I would like the "Delete Registrant" function to work for the event coordinator so that he can delete people and not have to bother me with it. I was testing it, and it didn't work for me as the super user, so how do I get it to work for him (from the front-end, since I don't want him messing about in the back-end).
The Paypal account I used is paypal@hardconsulting.com.
Thanks Tuan!
