only 1 category displays events - the other 2 not

I have 3 categories called, CPD, Primary Events and Secondary Events, and events in each. All of the events appear in the upcoming events box and on the calendar. I have set menu links to each of the categories, but only the link to CPD displays the events in that category. The other 2 show no events.

But, if I click on the category link on the item in the upcoming events box, for primary events or secondary events, the events then show up in a category list.

I can't see any difference in the way I've set up the menu links. Any help really appreciated.

OOps sorry - I had chosen the wrong view inthe menu option.
