It would be great to include the physical event address in the confirmation email that is sent at registration, and as a reminder email.

Currently, registration details includes a link to location, but it would be better to also include the ability to add the physical so a registrant can print the email, and use that to find us.

Also, we run events in multiple cities. And being able to specifically highlight the city would also be a benefit.

Creating the email isn't the problem.

The problem is that the fields that are available to include in the email are limited, and do not include specific information such as Venue, venue address, City, and so on. These are available only as a subset of registration detail.

The problem here is that if a guest prints the email, NONE of this information comes through.

Therefore it would be useful if these fields could be specifically included.

I think and know that is what he is after, and so would I!

This would need to be inputted in "Create an Event" as an 'option' [not required] all fields for input as some are using this for one event location, and others will use to advertise an event somewhere else.

Example, maybe we have most events here at physical location, but will have a an Event that will be located at a park or recreation area..

the other thing that might also be nice to allow addition of sending the additional info from Text Fields i think is the tab? (as long as you are in the back end)

Thanks Tuan!!

That sounds good.

For us, it's important to provide as much information in the email as possible - date and time obviously, but also location as we are offering events in multiple cities and venues.

The fields suggested will give that bit of information that is currently missing.

And while I could just type in the location details, it would mean that every email message attached to an event would have to be customized. That defeats the purpose of the database - enter your info only once, and let the software handle the presentation of that information.

Thanks for the suggestion. WHen do you think it could be implemented?

I would like to add in,maybe modifying the 'output emails' to tick boxes = Include What fields (this would eliminate typo errors also)

That would solve it, as 'fields and data' already exist in the DB...well, excuse me, as with the tabs....not until 'save event' has been done..

Thanks !!

Maybe we can simply having an unique tag [LOCATION] . If you use that tag in the email, it will be replaced with address, city, state, zip, country . That should be easiest way .

Please let me know your thought .

Perhaps we could try it this way:
[LOCATION] gives the name of the venue - i.e. "Self Connection Books"
[LOCATION_ADDRESS] gives the address / city / state or province and if possible a phone number - ideally in traditional format as follows:

1234 Main Street
Anytown, Alberta
403 555-1234

All would come from the Location field of event : basic information : location

Would that be easy to implement?

Thanks

That's the event...already... if he they showup at that address, that is because they want to be there...smile, as they signed up..

Simply if under another name...add it to
location_address
