Convert Waiting List to Registrant

I was wondering if anyone else would see the benefit of having the ability to convert a waiting list person to an actual registrant. My thinking is that I use EB for tournament registration. I would need the registrant to complete all the custom field to be placed on the waiting list and then I would like the ability to select one or two waiting list people to be converted to actual registrant.

Would anyone else see the benefit of this? They could either pay offline or a direct paypal transaction.

I agree with your point. I think it is interesting to ask extra question from waiting list people (ie maybe phone number to call in last minute) but it is useful to make people fill same question as normal registration (including any extra custom fields) to let admin select manually if needed.

yes it is important to convert our waiting lists
already had this pb on 2 events.... :silly:

Infact, wha I am working right now is change the process / logic of waiting list:

1. Making join waiting process exactly he same with registering for event.

2. Remove waiting list view from backend. Move all waiting list from waiting list into Events Booking registrant. These records will have status set to Pending.

3. When admin want to make someone become registrant, just change status from waitting to Pending or Paid.

Working on that direction. I think it will make everything simpler
