Commission for affiliates was created by Panos2000
Hello,
I am a registered user of Events Booking. It is a great component and the coding of Tuan is exceptional.
One question... Is there any way I can integrate in events booking a commission per subscription per affiliate?
Explanation: I have made deals with a number of people to promote my events and I would like to pay them with commission on the people registering from them. This doesn't need to be through another website. It could be by word of mouth that people come over to my website and register because one of my affiliates told them. In that case we should be able to:
1. Offer to the subscribers a discount in order to prefer registering through my affiliates than straight on my website
2. Track the subscription that was promoted by my affiliate by a code number so that we know how many have registered through him
3. Calculate a commission to be given to my affiliate according to the people registered from him.
#1 and #2 can be already done by having a different discount code for each affiliate. Like that we may know how many have been referenced by him and each subscription has this code on it.
#3 though we need to calculate every time, counting the subscriptions by hand and multiplying them with the commission promised to the affiliate...
Example: User xxxx talks with my affiliate yyyy and he gets convinced to subscribe to one of my events. My affiliate is giving him a discount code that the user will use to save some money on the amount displayed on my website. User Subscribes using the code, I can see the code has been used so many times and I give to my affiliate the amount of times the code was used multiplied to the agreed commission per subscription.
The above example has many drawbacks though. I have to write down on a piece of paper the code for every affiliate, the amount agreed and details for contacting him. The affiliate doesn't have a way to know if actually this person subscribed or not using his code but he rather has to rely on what I tell him. I have to manually calculate the times the code has been used and I have to write down that number on a paper to continue delivering my commission from that number on the next time we pay up our affiliates. I hope you get the picture...
A perfect way of course would be that an affiliate would register on the site and then I could select him and promote him into an "affiliate" thus giving him access to other areas of the site where he can see the number of people registering under him, his discount code that he should get the people to register under, the amount he gets as commission per person, the total amount he has earned so far, etc.
A page where I can have all my affiliates and have reports on how well they sell for me would be very handy as well!
How about it Tuan? Would you consider it for a future update? Any time schedules? Would you create this extra for me in case you don't want to implement this in event booking?

Any answer on this? Would you maybe consider some custom paid work to get this done?
