Events Booking 3.10.3 released

Dear customers

Today, I am happy to announce new version of Events Booking 3.10.2 with the following nice improvements:

1. Support Stripe Checkout

We developed a new payment plugin called EB Stripe Checkout (which redirect users to Stripe for processing payment) to compatible with Strong Customer Authentication required required by Stripe from 14th September 2019. If you are using Stripe, please plan to use this new plugin to replace the original EB Stripe payment plugin

If you purchase EB Stripe payment plugin in less than 6 months from today and want to switch to this new plugin, please submit a support ticket to ask us for coupon discount for the new plugin

2. Improve Recurring Event Creation

We added a new recurring event option to allow you to create monthly recurring event which recurs on last week day of each month (For example, Last Friday of Month, Last Wednesday of month). It could be useful in case you need to create this kind of recurring event

3. Improve Image Selection

As you know, we use Joomla Media Manager to allow selecting Image for events/categories. However, Joomla Media Manager still have some limitation in image handling at the moment. So we improve the code abit so that in case you are using JCE editor, Events Booking will use JCE image uploader for easier image manipulation.

4. Improve Upcoming Events

If you have Show children events date under parent events config option set to Yes, on upcoming events list , you might see past event date displayed (it's the date of parent event to allow users to click on to see it's children events). On this version, we improved the code so that instead of displaying parent event date (which is a past date), the system will display the date of next child event to make it less confusing for end users


5. Improve Batch Coupon Creation

You can now also choose categories when generating coupons using batch coupons feature

6. Some small bugs fixes

- Fix duplicate record saved (on Google Chrome) when creating new event from frontend
- Fix wrong registrant count when move a group member to a new event

Hi Tuan,
for existing Stripe Elements users, once we upgrade to 3.10.3 do we also need to upgrade the Stripe plugin or can it work with the existing plugin and still use Elements?

You can still use existing Stripe payment plugin. You will only need to use new payment plugin if your business requires Strong Customer Authentication stripe.com/docs/strong-customer-authentication

Hi Tuan, any idea when a new update with the editor in the Agenda and Sponsors might be available?

1. I don't see the need for using editor for sponsors. Not sure what field you need to use editor?

2. For agendas, you just need to edit the plugin, set Use HTML editor for description parameter to Yes and editor will be used instead of textarea

Hi Tuan, you are correct. I meant Speaker and Agenda. I see the setting in the plugin for both.
