Better doing for both mapX and OSMap. I prefer mapX than OSMap since mapX is more rich in options and has more friendly interface ! Also mapX is the continue of XMap if you look the site of them !

I would suggest if this is not too much to make it if you got the the time to write the plugin make it compatible for both ...i think will not be too difficult !!!

I confirm that Xmap has been discontinued and OSMap is the new update version of Xmap
