Edocman 3.3 is a major refinement release that strengthens the component’s foundations—smarter access control, more reliable SEF routing, and refreshed layouts—while also adding practical workflow upgrades like automatic Smart Search indexing, persistent bookmarks for logged-in users, and a more polished admin approval experience.

🔍 What’s New in Edocman 3.3

1) Core Improvements: Permissions That Behave the Way You Expect
Edocman 3.3 improves how permissions are handled across categories and documents, reducing confusion and edge-case access bugs.

• Improved access control for categories & documents based on:
  • Joomla Access Levels
  • Allowed Groups
  • Inherited permissions from parent categories
• Enhanced permission execution checks inside the component
  This helps ensure actions and visibility rules are enforced consistently across frontend and backend.
• Improved SEF router to reduce issues during SEF link generation to documents
  Result: cleaner, more stable URLs and fewer routing-related surprises.
• Updated OsInput class in Edocman’s core library
  A behind-the-scenes modernization that supports better consistency and maintainability.

2) Layout Upgrades: Modern UI, Better Frontend Appeal
Several layouts had not been updated for a long time. In 3.3, they’ve been redesigned to be cleaner, smarter, and more modern, improving both usability and the perceived quality of your document portal.Updated layouts include:

• User Documents
• Category Table Layouts
• Documents Layout
• Configuration
• License Management

3) Feature Enhancements & Fixes: Workflow Wins + Real-World Stability

• Auto indexing for Joomla Smart Search (Finder)
  When saving a new document, Edocman can automatically trigger indexing so the content becomes searchable faster—less manual maintenance for admins.
• Bookmarks improved for logged-in users
  Previously, non-logged-in users could bookmark documents but storage was limited.
  Now, logged-in users keep bookmarks permanently (until they remove them), making bookmarks a reliable long-term feature.
• Backend approval workflow upgrade: notification control
  The document modification form now includes a dropdown: “Send Approval Notification Email”
  Admins can choose to notify customers/users when their document is approved—simple, clear, and professional.=
• Frontend category creation now inherits access settings
  Categories and sub-categories added from the frontend will inherit access permissions from the parent category, ensuring consistent access rules with less manual cleanup.
• New option to copy document links (frontend document details)
  A small change with big impact: users can quickly share documents without extra steps.
• Targeted fixes for layouts, modules, and modal workflows
  • Fix: “Layout not found” when editing a category on the frontend
  • Fix: “Most Downloaded” layout in the Edocman Documents module
  • Fix: modal issues when opening documents from Documents listing and Edocman Documents module
  • Fix: adding documents via modal box from Joomla Editor XTD plugin: EDocman Document Link
  • Dashboard improvement: added Top Downloaded Categories for quicker insights

when i want ti submit a doc i have this 0 - Class "EDocmanTableGoogledrive" not found

can i downoad the previous version in midtime
