indexing pdf error was created by ChrissMa
Hi!
I activated the indexing plugin to have the feature of finding documents through smart search and looking for content of the documents.
This time it works perfect on my local installation, but in my online setup the index tab of a document prints just an error:
Code:
sh: /home/www/49/16/cmjcise354/mmgr2/plugins/edocman/indexer/binaries/bsd/pdftotext: Permission denied
I guess this is about my hosting system, isn't it?
Where can I start to look?

Thanks
Chris

found a possible solution here:
joomdonation.com/forum/edocman/21043-edocman-indexer.html
But changing the file permissions does not solve the problem, I needed to make it executeable.
Now the error is
Code:
Shared object "libstdc++.so.3" not found, required by "pdftotext"
I guess that is a dead end because I can't change my hosting at the moment.
Please tell what are the requirements to get the indexer work properly.

Thanks you very much!
Chris

Hi Christian,
Please submit ticket on category: Edocman, i will send you another pdftotext library, so you can try to solve the indexing issue.
Thanks

Well, just before I do this: We are gonna move the installation to a different webhost to take it to a "live" status. So the hosting environment will change anyway.
Will I need to remove this library?
Sure it would be nice to have the indexing done before we go live.

Regards!
Chris

Hi Chris,
Sometimes, when you use Edocman on different sites and you have the same problem on indexing documents, you will need another pdftotext library to solve it.
Thanks
