Today, I am happy to announce the next release of EDocman extension, version 1.6.4. In this version:
1. We improved the Document Link plugin so that when you use the plugin to insert link to documents into an article, you can upload new documents if the documents you want to insert doesn't exists yet.
2. We improved the categories management feature to allow filter categories based on level. You can now also search for categories in sub-levels (in old version, only categories from first level can be searched in Categories management.
3. We implement a way to allow you define custom fields for documents:
- These custom fields must be defined via xml
- You can then enter these data for documents from backend
- The custom fields data will be displayed in documents details page
- In case you want to display these custom fields data on table layout, few customization to the layout will be needed but it is do-able
4. Allow using page heading settings of the menu item to display in category page in case you don't choose a category in menu parameter (if you choose category in the menu parameter, category title will be displayed)
5. Fixed a big in Bulk Upload doesn't save documents to correct folder of category (in case you activate herachical folder structure feature)
