Can we have an update installer

When I use the Joomla Update feature, it says:
Error
Failed to download package. Download it and install manually from www.joomdonation.com/index.php?option=co...ckage&document_id=82 .

Shouldn't Edocman update via the Joomla script like all my other extensions?

Hi,
To update extension from Backend side, you should follow below steps:
1. Register a Download ID from: www.joomdonation.com/download-ids.html and enter it in Configuration page
2. Publish the Joomla Installer plugin: Edocman Update package.
After that, you will able to update extension from Backend side.
