cannot use images thumbs

Hello My client Mr. Chris Mayhew recently purchase the document selller extension and I am using it for hist site.
I am having a problem in uploading images to the documents(thumb images) I do not want to use the default image as i have made some custom icons for the document.
Please guide me on how to select a particular icon for a document.

Hi Raj

1. Upload the thumb images to a folder in your site . For example to images/com_dms/thumbs folder .

2. Go to Documents Seller -> Configuration, you will see a config option called Document Thumbnail Path. Change it to the path where you uploaded the custom icons to (relative path) .

After that, you will be able to choose the icons for your documents .

one more thing is there anyway i can get a menu button connected to a category directly instead of category's list?

Yes . You can simply create a menu item to link to category view of the extension and choose the category you want from menu parameter !

I am having the same problem - I have done what you described:

I have checked in Configuration for the path and then uploaded image files to to corresponding folder in the back end of my website.

But when I go to Category Management or Document Management and click on Select Image I do not get any options to select a thumb.

Is there any reason this might be?

Do the thumb images need to be in a special format? I used jpg

I would appreciate some help with this.

However, if I wanted to have no thumbnails at all - default or custom - how would I do that?

Right now, you cannot delete the uploaded custom field and that should be improved. Please give me two weeks from now to add this feature into the extension .
