registration & moderation for Event Bookings was created by svillegas
I am interested in the Event Booking component, and I am wondering if it can do the following:
1) Event registration is allowed only for certain registered users (I have free and "pro" members, registered on my site via Community Builder). I think I read that EB has ACL control for this type of thing?
2) I need two types of registration: "regular" and "V.I.P".
(I think maybe I can accomplish this by overriding the language strings for "individual" and "group", and set the maximum group size to 1??)
3) I need the event creator to moderate/approve the "V.I.P" registrants; "Regular" registrants are approved automatically.
Can EB be set up to achieve this?
ALSO: Can event creators add registrants to an event, or do they have to add themselves?

Hi
1=> Yes, Events Booking can handle this.
2=> You can use that solution. Or maybe simpler, create a custom field to allow registrant to choose the type of the registration (Regular or VIP).
3=> This moderator feature is not available in the extension, so you might have to customize the extension. At the moment :
1. If the event is free, all the registration will be approved automatically.
2. If the event is paid event, after users complete payment for the registration, his registration is approved automatically as well.
The registrants need to register for the event themself. Event creator could not add registrants from frontend (adding registrants is only possible from backend)
Hope my answers are clear to you !
Regards,
Tuan

Thanks, Tuan.
Do you think the moderation process could be improvised by charging $0.01 for an event, setting the only gateway to "offline payment", and simply hiding these fields from the front-end user? That way the admin can "approve" the user in the backend by marking the transaction as "paid". Or will the user still have to see invoices, etc...?

Your events are free and you only use offline payment ? If that's the case, we can simply change few lines of code in the Offline payment payment plugin !
