Different shipping methods for different products

I have a UPS shipping module that I need to apply to products 1, 2, and 3 (or categories A and B ). Then I need free shipping applied to products 4, 5, and 6 (or category C). I tried creating a Free shipping method for products with weight over 1000 and set products 4, 5, and 6 weights to 1001 and I get the two options coming up for shipping when purchasing product 4. The UPS option shouldn't even come up. Then when I have a cart with products 1 and 4, it only charges free shipping since the total weight is over 1000. I need product 1 to charge UPS rates and product 4 to have free shipping.Will the Shipping Pro extension handle this?
