Amount field was created by danielmulvihill
Hi - is it possible to change the default "Amount" text field to a radio button selection? I have a form with 3 different amounts, and I would like the user to select one and then have the selected amount go through to Authorize.net. If I simply have a text field, I do not trust that will enter the correct amount.
Thank you!

Dan

Thanks - I managed to do what I needed by creating a "Fee" field with radio buttons and three fee values. Would be great to have the amount be flexible to accommodate multiple amounts.

Hi Tuan,
Here is an issue I ran into after setting up my Fee radio buttons. I fixed it, but might be helpful for future releases:
It is possible to set up both a Fee radio button list and "Enable Enter Payment Amount" on the same form. I accidentally did this, and the result was my customers were submitting the amount twice on the same form: once by selecting the radio button, and then a second time by entering the amount in the Amount field. Since Fee button setup and "Enable Enter Payment Amount" were on 2 different screens in the admin, I had a hard time noticing what I had done.
I think we should be able to do one or the other, but never be able to submit both in this way. (A multiple selection check box list is probably the only way this should be handled.)
If the customer needs radio button selections AND an Amount field, then the amount field has to have a radio button next to it as well. Like this:
Payment amount: [ ] $100 [ ] $150 [ ] $200 [ ] Other amount [text field]
This would then mean that we need the ability to set up multiple "Field Types" (radio list and text field for example).
Thanks!
Dan

Hi Dan
Thanks for your information . However, the custom field features doesn't work as you think . Let me try to explain it to you :
- The Enable enter amount property of the form is used so that :
1. If you have a form which you allows users to pay for a fixed price (for example, the yearly member fee, the price for a product), you can set the price for the form and when users access to the form for processing payment, they need to pay that fixed price . In this case, the form will not display the amount textbox and users cannot enter the amount they want to pay .
2. If you want users to be able to amount they need to pay , (for example, customer A want to pay you 100$, customer B want to pay you 200$....), you set Enable Enter amount to Yes . The form will display amount textbox and users can enter the amount they want .
- The Custom Fee Fields feature is a very flexiable feature and allows you to change the amount users need to pay depend on their selection . For example, if you want users to enter information on the form to register for an english course, you can create a custom field called Get Books . If users set to yes , they will have to pay extra 100$. If they choose no, no extra fee will be added .
So in Payment Form : Total Amount Users Need to Pay = Form Amount (Fixed amount or the amount entered on Amount Textbox) + Total Fee amount of all custom fee fields .
Hope my explanation is clear to you .
Thanks ,
Tuan
