filtering in categories was created by kevin vandenboss
I have my site set up so that users can click on different property categories from the home page to browse properties in that category. The issue is that each category will have properties from several different cities and states. From the category page, is there something I can do to filter properties just in that category by the same options as advanced search? Can that be done with the map module add on? Or any other add on or plugins? I had to remove the option in advanced search to search by category since I am using sub categories to have pages set up just for specific areas. When I had the option to search by category in advanced search is also showed all of the sub categories, which makes for a very long list. So in addition to the above question about filtering within categories, is there a way to only show the main categories in advanced search and. It the sub categories? Thank you.

Hi Kevin,
In case you want to have the filter form in page "list properties of category", you can setup menu to layout: Property listing layout and enter some menu parameters like Category, show filter form.
Thanks
Dam

Thank you so much, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Now how do I hide each of these from the menu? I just want to be able to link to the page and not have it display on the menu because, again, there will be a ton of them. When I attempted to just unpublish it from the menu I lost the filters. Thank you.

Hi Kevin,
Unfortunately, OS Property doesn't have feature on the links, we must setup the menus because in each menu, we are able to setup the parameters to show the filter form or not.
Thanks
Dam
