email validation rule (domain) was created by Ezequiel Lidijover
Hello, it is possible to add a validation rule to the mail field so that they can only belong to a domain eg: john@pepepe.com that way only people who have institutional emails "@ pepepe.com" can be registered
If so, what would be the rule or way of doing it?

Hello
You would have to write a server validation rule and set it for the email field. See membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/basic-...eld-data-server-side
Regards,
Tuan

I don't know how to do that, could I ask you to do it through a ticket?

Hello
Normally, code modification like this is not in scope of support. I worked on quick modification for you. You can get this file, unzip it, upload to folder components/com_osmembership/helper folder on your site
After that, edit the email field, set Server Validation Rules to email_pepepe, then try again. It should work
Regards,
Tuan

I would like to do something similar by only allowing access to a number of educational domains for certain plans.
However I use the email address as the Username setting so wondered if this add on validation would work with that situation - or would it apply to all plans?

Hi Jonathan
The rule there will be applied to all plans, not with certain selected plans

Tuan
