Making a custom field required for one plan and optional for another was created by Jonathan Colls
I would like to use a custom field on Plan A and for it to be Required. And then also use it on Plan B but have it optional.
The simplest solution is to duplicate the custom field and set one as required and one as optional - however this means that the field is separated in reporting and exports.
Is there a way to use the dame field and use the Validation rules or server validation rules to achieve something like.
CustomField1 is Required if PlanID = 1
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Jonathan
Unfortunately, you will have to use two custom fields in this case. There is no way to make the same custom field required for Plan 1 but Optional for Plan 2 as you want
