Always apply VAT to clients from seller's country was created by Jordan
Hi guys,
I have an issue with the Tax rules. I need the VAT to be applied on all orders coming from my country. In my case, this is Bulgaria.
We are a Bulgarian company and we must apply VAT to all buyers from Bulgaria, no matter if they have a valid VAT number or not.
I tried to disable the VIES Reg option, but it still validates the VAT number and if it's a valid number, the system subtracts the VAT.
Do you know how this can be done?
Best regards,
Jordan

Hi again,
I just rebuild the Tax Rules and now it seems that it's all working now. The crucial moment was that the default country in the configuration should be set to Bulgaria in my case.
One additional question - after the rebuild of the tax rules, all countries except Bulgaria have the VIES Reg option set to No. Is this the correct configuration?

Hi Jordan
Yes. That's the correct setting. So all you need to do is set Default Country in the Configuration of Membership Pro to your home country, then use the Build EU Tax Rules tool in Membership Pro to build tax rules and it will work OK
