Custom field to add an amount to subscription pric

This may sound a bit odd, here in the home of (joom)donation, but what I'd really like (well, one of the things I'd really like), is a way that someone subscribing to, or renewing, a plan, could add an amount of their own choosing to the price, the purpose being a donation.

Is that something I could do, with.. errr... custom fields? Something else here?

Yes, you can. Just create a custom fee field textbox to allow users to enter donation amount he wants and it will be added to total subscription fee. Just create a field :

- name : osm_donation_amount

- Title : Donation Amount (or whatever you want)

- Fee Field : Yes

- Fee Formula: [FIELD_VALUE]

After that, try again. It should work as expected

Not so happy with the layout. I know I can override it, but surely fee fields ought to show up in the payment section?

What is the "Description" for on the custom field page?
I was hoping that the description would show up on the subscription page as hover text (hmmm, that's not the right phrase), but it doesn't.

The description is supposed to be displaying as the tooltip of the custom field. Maybe there is javascript conflict and it doesn't work? Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site and the link to subscription page so that I can check and correct it for you

It's currently just in the on-my-desktop test site.
I'll be transferring it to a hosted test site in the next day or two. If it's still a problem there I'll raise the ticket. Many thanks
