User Profile Issues was created by tstreelman
1. When a user has 2 or more subscriptions, only the first subscription information is changed when a user edits their profile from the front end. Address, phone, name changes, etc. should be made to all subscriptions for the user. Can you separate the profile from the subscription? The subscriber table can keep user data, a new subscription table can keep one or multiple subscriptions. I think this is important because if a subscriber has multiple subscriptions and they change their email address, they will not get renewal reminders for the second and subsequent subscriptions because the information had not changed on those records.
2. When a user edits their profile from the front end (see #1) only the name and password information is synchronized back to the Joomla user component. Changing the email does not synchronize back to the Joomla component. AcyMailing component gets it’s email address from the Joomla component so it is important to update Joomla with the new email address. Otherwise, when we send newsletters with AcyMailing, we’ll not be sending to the updated email address the user has entered.
3. Editing name or email information in the Joomla user component does not synchronize back to Membership Pro. Make sure you do all edits in Membership Pro to stay synchronized with Joomla. This may become a problem when other components also modify Joomla user information. Would be nice to have a synchronization between Joomla and MP where the most recent information is updated to the other.
Thanks.
Tom
