Cannot get component to work

I need some advice getting this component to work as I do not understand it. I have used Joom Donation so was looking forward to a good component in Membership Pro.

My issue is that I have created one category and then three plans under that one category. I create a menu item to list categories. The category lists OK, then when I click on category it shows the 3 plans OK. When I click on Details for the plan 1, I go back to the list of categories. I click on the category and list the 3 plans again. This time I click on Sign Up for plan 1, goes back to list of categories. Click on categories again, see list of plans. This time I click on sign up for plan 2, brings me to a screen for plan 1. Further testing equally frustrating.

Since I have a good experience with Joom Donation, I don't think poorly of the company and cannot believe the component is fundamentally faulty. I followed all the documentation for configuration but am disappointed in getting this to work.

Any ideas where I am going wrong and what configuration I'm missing?

Am testing on local MAMP system, Joomla 2.5.16, PHP 5.4.10 and also tried PHP 5.2.17. MySQL 5.5.9

I have something similar. I have a menu item attached to Plan Detail. When the user selects that menu item, it properly goes to the detail of the plan (with the plan name, image and description). But when clicking on the Sign Up button, it just returns to the same screen (instead of going to the subscription form). I've tried attaching Subscription Form directly to a menu item and that does work.

I should note I used SEO friendly URLs with Mod Rewrite.

I believe it is just something special on your sitecausing the issue. Please submit a support ticket sending us admin and FTP account of your site so that I can check to see what's wrong and get it corrected for you @

I solved the problem!!!! Normally in Joomla, I leave the Alias field empty, and Joomla fills it in. However, in Membership Pro, if I leave it empty (under the plan), the Sign Up button doesn't work (the URL doesn't know where to go). So I created my own alias, and it works now!

You might want to include this in an upcoming release, something that automatically generates an Alias. It would be consistent with Joomla and other extensions.

Hi Keith

This issue is now fixed. When you leave alias empty, the system will generate alias based on title (of categories and plans).

If you want to use it, simply login to your account, access to My Downloads menu item, see your order and download it from there !

Keith, great detective work. Filling in the alias worked for me, too. I hadn't noticed that it was still blank. Tuan, thanks for the quick fix. I'll download the latest version.

Tuan, it worked as as expected. Thanks.

This may not be the right place, but I'd suggest another improvement. When creating a category, plan, or coupon, default the status to Published. Unpublished status may be appropriate later, but I'm creating now because I want to use the item. Also, when creating a new category, plan, or coupon I cannot choose Yes or No for the Published status. Only after saving.
