Insert URL Parameters into Form was created by Curtis Stewart
I'd like Joom Donation to input information that is passed to it from the URL using GET or POST.
Example URL: sample.com/joomDonation?firstName=John&lastName=Smith
Result:
First Name: John
Last Name: Smith
I hope I've made this clear enough and that it can be simply implemented.
Thanks!

We can edit the code abit to support that. You can pass value of the field in URL first_name=John&last_name=Smitch
You can submit a support ticket so that we can help you with the modification

Tuan

Thanks so much for the speedy reply. I suspect its really just adding a listener of some sort to check the url but my coding knowledge is a bit shoddy and mostly self taught.
I'm actually not on the account that purchased the component though. Do i need to access that account in order to get support?

Well, I couldn't help but try to jump ahead and do it myself. I've got it working now, thanks!
Edit: Oh, and if anyone else needs a hand figuring this out, I'd be happy to help.

Hi Curtis
Yes. You need to let us know information of the purchase to get support from us.
I think I will implement this as a core feature, so you won't have to customize the code yourself in the future
I will update download package with the necessary changes on tomorrow
Regards,
Tuan

Well, next time something bad happens I'll make sure to get access to the purchase information and pass it right along for support.
I'm glad you'll be implementing this into the core component. I think the potential use cases are numerous and only limited by the imagination.
For example. I've customized your component to allow for sponsoring individual 3rd world children. Check it out if you like.

Thanks again!
