error when trying to use https mode was created by Dave Votaw
I'm having the same problem as the last post described. I'm setting up Joom Donation for the first time, using version 2.2.

I have my payment gateway set up with Authorize.net. It's in test mode but I have it set to "live mode" in the Joom Donation admin.

My test donation works just fine - until I switch Activate HTTPS to "yes". Then when I do a test I get this error:

Warning: Wrong parameter count for str_replace() in {path}/www/components/com_jdonation/views/confirmation/view.html.php on line 80

The test transaction appears to work anyway.

Dave, did they help you via your email account? No one reviews these entries?

No, I've received nothing. Apparently they're not being read. It's ironic - one of the reasons I bought this product is because I read other people's posts on this board about the good service offered.

I solved the problem myself - I went in and fixed the PHP code. It was a simple error to fix.

On my copy of view.html.php the code was on line 106 but maybe that's because I use Dreamweaver? Anyway, the correct PHP code is

$url = str_replace('http:', 'https:',$url) ;

Hope this helps.

Yeah, I had done that earlier. But, when I do the change, my confirmation form does not pass the visitor's data anymore.

Was yours fine?

Yes, it seems to work just fine with the code that I posted. The only change was that the error message went away - which was what I wanted.

David,

May I check some things with you? I'm not getting anywhere with this module. I may have the wrong version or something, and I'm not getting support.

1. I let the error display and moved forward with a test account from authorize.net. But, I can't even connect to the test environment. When I use their parameter dump, I see the xlogin and transaction key are not being passed.

--Are you using version 2.1?
--Did you use the testing environment at test.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll ?

I just installed this module as many others, but nothing works!!

No, I'm using 2.2.

No, I didn't use (or know about!) the testing environment. My account is set to "test mode" at authorize.net so I am using that for testing.

I was not able to get Joom Donation to work in its own test mode. So I have set the configuration of JD to "live mode" for Authorize.net. And it works fine. I've still not gone live with Authorize.net because I want to change some things in the JD template.

On authorize.net, they have a series of guides for implementation. There's one developer guide. It tells you how to get a test account and test key, so that you can run on live mode on the front end, but direct the transaction to authorize.net's test environment.

I don't know if you have to loggin to be able to access these guides, but here is the link:

developer.authorize.net/guides/AIM/
