custom reporting was created by kirk
My client needs a report that just shows the total number of products ordered for any given time period, but grouped and totaled by product. For example, last week there were 20 customers who purchased 5 different products. I need a report that shows how many total of product #1, product #2, #3, etc, were ordered.

I can but there's way too much information in that report for one thing. Another issue is that in order to get a sum total count for the number of each item ordered, I'd have to either count it manually, manipulate cells to calculate it how I need or some other way. The data is all there, it's just compiling it into something usable that would be extremely time consuming for my customer.

Actually the purchased products report might work if there was a way to export to Excel. I see that the report is viewable in the backend, but no options to export or process. That is the data I'm looking for.

Back on the topic of custom reports...is there a way to have the Orders report show the customer last name for all rows next to the products they've ordered rather than just once per product? Currently, if I have a customer order 5 items, the excel report will show the customer's name once, and then several columns across you will see the 5 items the customer has ordered. I'd like the report to show the name next to each order rather than just once: Ex:
jones...product 1
jones...product 2
jones...product 3
jones...product 4
jones...product 5
jones...product 1
jones...product 2
jones...product 3
jones...product 4
jones...product 5

Hello Kirk,
This is an outstanding requirement and it requires to modify to EShop if you want to have it.
