Really like the new dashboard - thank you.
Is there any way to track venue specific items? Specifically, our events are very similar to a trade show, where we have vendors purchasing display booths, and those booths have options (extra curtains, chairs, electric hookup, etc.) We've figured out how to sell vendor packages (contracts), but would be nice to have booth tracking, add-on options, etc. Currently Events Booking handles the attendee side very well, but we need some way to handle the exhibits and meetings. Anyone have an idea? I suppose we could use EShop to handle such things, but then the link to the event wouldn't be there...

Hi Ben
Could you please explain more details about your requirement? It is not very clear to me, so I do not know if our extension can be used to handle it
Regards,
Tuan

Yeah, one of those things that if you haven't been involved in one, just attending one wouldn't provide insite.
Part of our events is a type of "trade show", where a large hotel conference room or a convention center is setup with booths for vendors and salespeople to display their products, sometimes sell from them, or just do a lot of talking (IT shows are a lot of that along with tech displays). There can be between 10 to 100 booths depending on the space and the show. The booths are generally made of up pipe frames for a tall back and low sides to a booth, with curtains hanging from them. We sell vendors who wish to display a registration fee (which Events handles nicely), which includes a basic booth (white curtains, a table and chair, and a basic amount of floor space). The vendor is then able to purchase enhancements to the booth - number of booth spaces, different curtains, more tables and chairs, electrical outlet, and other add-ons all at additional cost. We're looking for a way to track those add-ons and charge for them, that would be attached to to their basic registration record. So it's sort of a basic store added to the Events module. Actual show products also use the "store" capability to sell logo items for the show, and other things for attendees to purchase.
Events Booking handles everything from the attendee side we need, but we have the presentation side to handle as well. I don't think, based on looking at the database, that you have a place to store this type of data at this time, but I thought I'd ask. A few years ago, when I was running such an event, there were some Joomla extensions that did this type of event, but I'm not seeing any at the moment (wouldn't want to do that anyway - like your products and they way they work. We do have other ways to handle the problem, but all in one place would be nice.
Hope this makes sense.

As I think on it, you do have a possible way to accomplish this. If there was a way to link products in EShop to Events Booking, and some way in EShop to show them, much could be done. Or add a simplified version of EShop into Events...

Found a way around it for now. We can use EShop, create a category for the trade shows with sub-categories under that for each event, then the product packages for sale under there, and create a menu item in the Events menu tree that displays the trade show category. Vendors can then find it under Events, and purchase what they need and we have a record of sales for each vendor.
From what I can tell, it should work.
