I am using
Events Booking and regularly have multiple events per day. I want to prevent participants from checking in for a later event just because the check-in for an earlier event is already open.Therefore, I am looking for a way to
limit the check-in function so that it only becomes active within a specific timeframe before the event starts – configurable on a per-event basis. For example, Event A should allow check-in
only 24 hours before start, while Event B should allow check-in
only 2 hours before start.Is there an existing setting for this, or would it require a customization? If so, do you have any recommendations on how to implement this?Thank you for your help!

I found a simple trick to work around this issue:
- Temporarily set the later event to "Unpublished".
- Example:
- Event A: 1:00 PM → Published
- Event B: 8:00 PM → Unpublished
- As a result, check-in is only possible for Event A. Participants won’t see Event B and therefore cannot accidentally check in for the wrong event.
- Manually set Event B to "Published" shortly before it begins (e.g., 2 hours in advance).
- From that moment on, participants can check in for Event B, but no longer for Event A.
Advantages:

Easy implementation – no coding required

Clear control over when participants can check in

Disadvantages:

Manual adjustment required – the later event must be published at the right time

No automatic control over the check-in start time

The event remains invisible while it is "Unpublished." This means participants cannot view details or register for it during that time. As a result, this workaround is only
partially applicable and is best suited for events that are already fully booked or do not require late registrations.
