Different emails for different categories was created by Philip Bennett
Is it possible to set up different email bodies for different categories?
I have 2 categories which require different responses to reservations and different reminders.

Hello
Yes. In latest version of the extension, when you add/edit a category, you can setup the messages in Messages tab and it will be used for all events from that category
You can event setup these messages inside the event if needed (so each event could have it own messages)

When the system wants to use certain message, it will try to find message in the following order:
- Event -> Category -> Global Message

This is great , can you help me a little more as well.
it seems that I cannot use any tags referring to the event,
If a group registration is made for a free event in category A which message will they receive if I set it up in Categories, and can I automatically say which event, date and number of registrants they have booked for?
Or if I do it as a message from the Event, not the category - which message will they receive.

3. If you do not setup the messages inside the event, and setup messages inside the category, the messages in category will be used

Thank you, I understand that, but what I really need to be able to do is detailed messages to reply to bookings for the dfferent categories.
Example:
Category A is a free weekly event held at the library with a different topic each week and I need to confirm which event, date4 and number of seats they have reserved for.
Category B is a series of theatrical productions, and apart from confirming the event and date, I need to say how many seats and give a message about offline payment.
In both cases it is very important to confirm the reservation details. I cannot see a way to do that.
