Waitinglist mail was created by M Thijssen
Hi Tuan,

We have some questions about the waiting list procedure.

waiting list mailinglist
When someone cancelled a registration, everyone on the waiting lists get's the email, 'Someone cancel the registration'.
Then everyone tries to register, but only the first one who gets it done wil succeed.
Alle others wil be seeing the button to register for the waiting list. For a visitor it looks strange, thinking "but i already register for the waiting list, Why did i get that mail."
They will be disappointed and won't feel the urge to try next time.
Is it possible to only send that mail the first one on the waiting list?

And if that's not possible. Is it possible to keep the function of the waiting list, but disable the mail, 'Someone cancel the registration'.
and let the administrator do it manual.

Re-register via email-link?
When some-one get's the mail with the 'If you still want to attend to this event, please click on the link below to view and register for the event'-link to register to the event. The form has to be filled in again.
But the personal information is already in the database.
Is it possible for the person to change the registration with one click from 'waiting list' to 'paid'.
We only have free events, so no payment necessary.

Hi Marcel

1. Yes. You can disable the email. Go to Events Booking -> Emails & Messages, find that email subject, empty it and the email won't be sent anymore

2. It is not possible to change status from waiting list to paid with one click like that. The reason is because users will still have to make payment for the registration. So in this case:

- If your event is free, admin can handle this manually
- If your event is paid event and users have to pay to join, you can go to Events Booking -> Registrants, check on the checkbox next to the first person on waiting list, and press Request Payment button in the toolbar. The system will send request payment email to allow users to click on to make payment to become paid registrants

Hope that helps

Regards,

Tuan
