Emails: Show label and value of field only if category is matching

I use custom fields. In configuration I have set up to assign these fields to categories instead of evens. I have seperate fields for most categories.

If I use [REGISTRATION_DETAIL] for confirmation messages and emails, the custom fields are showing correctly.

But to have better control of the layout I add fields manually. Example:

Mylabel for new field 1: [NEW_FIELD_1]
NEW_FIELD_1 is assigned to category "Cars".

This works.
But "Mylabel for new field 1" gets printend in all emails and all confirmation messages, even if an event is booked from other category.
If I book an event from caregory "Trains", where [NEW_FIELD_1] is not assigned, label "Mylabel for new field 1" still gets printed.

Is there a way to avoid this? In emails and confirmation messages I want to show custom fields only depending on their category.

So for example I'm thinking of something like this: {cars}Mylabel for new field 1: [NEW_FIELD_1]{/cars}

Is there a way to do so?

Hello Parick

Please submit a support ticket so that we can give you a package to try. You can use the syntax below after updating:

{ebShowText [MAIN_CATEGORY_ID]=10}Mylabel for new field 1: [NEW_FIELD_1]{/ebShowText}

With that syntax, the field 1 above will only be shown if someone register for event belong to category with ID = 10

That could be a solution for your problem

I now use seven custom fields in three categories.

I have added the new code to messages and emails.

It all works fine!

Will you include this new feature in future updates of EB?
