Couple of Issues was created by anthony
I'm trying to set up the following scenario.
I have an event called 'Tech Course', that occurs about 10 times a year, and is 4 days long each time.
I have created 10 seperate events called Tech Course, each with different start dates.
On the front end, when the user chooses 'Tech Course' on the registration page, I want there to be a drop-down list under a 'Course Date' field, so that the user can choose the specific date he wants to register for that course.
Am I doing this incorrectly by creating 10 seperate events? Or do I need to create 1 event with 10 seperate start and end dates?
Thanks a lot

Hi
For this kind of requirement, I would suggest this setup:
1. Setup this 10 events using additional dates plugin eventbookingdoc.joomservices.com/miscell...itional-dates-plugin . The first date will become parent event
2. Go to Events Booking -> Configuration, set Show children events date under parent events config option to Yes
By doing that, when users access to the parent event , list of children events will be displayed like this joomdonationdemo.com/eventbooking/featur...tures/multiple-dates . Users can then easily choose the date they want and perform the registration
I think that's the best setup

thanks for that. i wasn't aware of that plugin.
So, to test this I created an event with 2 child dates.
Called the event using the {ebregister} tag in the articles page. (i had been using ebregister instead of ebevent up until now)
So it now takes me to a registration page with 3 consecutive registration forms.
Decided to now try using {ebevent} instead of {ebregister} in the articles page and called the 3 events.
So now on the articles page for that particular event, the 3 dates appear.
Under the 2 child dates are 2 buttons 'Register' and 'Details' but under the parent event date, the only button present says 'Choose Date & Location' and when clicked on it doesn't take me to the registration page. Is there a way of ensuring that the parent event displays the 'Register' and 'Details' buttons?
Thank you

Hi
No, it is not possible. The purpose here is that event has multiple dates, so users will need to click on Choose Date & Location button to see list of available dates and register for the date they want
Regards,
Tuan
