I would like to set up Event Booking such that, for a group booking, each person coming to the event receives one and only one confirmation email. Is this possible?

After enabling the option "Send confirmation email to all group members" in Configuration, I tested registering a group with two members. The second member correctly received just a member confirmation email. However, the first member received both the booking (user) confirmation email, and a member confirmation email.

In this example, no billing data was entered and so there were only two email addresses provided to the system. However, when the event has a price, the system additionally asks for a billing email, creating the possibilty that the user (billing email) and member #1 do not have the same email address. In this case I suppose I would like for both members to receive a member confirmation email, and for the user to receive a booking confirmation email. However, the way I have currently written it, the booking confirmation email assumes the recipient is attending the event themselves, so that would be a little confusing.

That makes sense. So in that case, I guess the billing email should be stopped? Mean the first member will only receive group member email and not the additional billing email?

Something like that, yes. But it probably needs a bit more thought to make it work well. For instance, sometimes the person performing the registration on the website might be coming themselves, but often it is in fact a personal assistant (or someone else who is not actually coming themselves), and that's probably even more likely to be the case when it is a group booking.

I think there may need to be a different template depending on whether the booking email is going to someone who is also a group member, or someone who is not a group member. Sorry not to be more explicit, would be great to see you get more feedback from other customers and figure out a smart way of handling this :-)
