Group tickets aren't "checked" was created by Roderic Kreunen
Using 3.2.0.

Scanning a QR code with iCody works fine with a single ticket, after scanning a second time it gives a message that the code is already scanned. When scanning a ticket that's part of a group however, you can keep scanning and also the status on the site never changes, except from the main booker. Any idea?

Cheers

Hi Roderic

So you are using group registration, correct? And the QRCODE send to the group billing email? What tag you are using to generate QRCODE? Is it [TICKET_QRCODE]

Please give me more information about how you configure the system so that I can understand your setup and check it further

Regards,

Tuan

Yes that's correct. Also using TICKET_QRCODE indeed.

Person X buys a ticket for himself, QR codes gets scanned and in the backend you see "check-in" change. Scanning a 2nd time gives a message that the code is already scanned. All good so far.

Now Person X buys tickets for 5 people at once in a group registration, in the backend you can see 5 tickets. You can download 5 different PDF files with 5 different QR codes. Also, when you run an export, it will show 5 individual lines of QR code. So, again, so far so good.

Now when you scan the main ticket, it will again show as "checked in" in the backend for Person X. But you can keep scanning this ticket without it saying it's already scanned. Scanning the other 4 tickets/QR codes from the group registration won't change the status in the backend.

See attachment for some settings. Need more?

Cheers!

Edit:

I just did some scans with a simple QR reader, the ID's that I get from that app are not corresponding to the Ticket Code in the export file. Is that correct?

Edit 2:

Addition to the first edit. I just noticed the first tickets are correct. Seems like they stopped corresponding since I updated to version 3.2.0 from version 3.1.0.

Edit 3

Yes, in addition to the 2nd edit. I have checked about 15 tickets now, they all work up to a certain moment, that's when I've updated to 3.2.0. The QR code on the PDF doesn't match anymore since then.

Hello

I made some changes in the code of checkin registrants process to make it consistent (so that you can use ICODY to checkin registrants with QRCODE send to email as well, not just with Tickets PDF)

I need your help to provide more information. So please submit a support ticket:

1. Sending me super admin account
2. Telling me what registration record you checked in and see this error
3. Tell me the code you receive when use ICODY to scan

I will check to see what's wrong and get the issue sorted

Regards,

Tuan
