This message is mainly for people that sell Events in France.
The word deposit has been translated by "Dépôt" in some places and by "Ahrres" in other places.
While "Dépôt" has no meaning for sales transaction in french nor according to French laws, "Ahrres" has a very precise meaning that you shall understand.
Word "Dépôt" can be used for "stock of weapons", "paper mails in a mail boxe", "Money deposit at a bank for any reason", "goods in a shop, a factory, a gas station..."
There are three different words that can be used for partial paiement of a good or a service :

"Ahrres" deposit means :
It is up to the user of Event Booking that sells in France to use the proper wording, knowing that "Dépôt" has no meaning in french for such transaction that "Ahrres" used in some of the french .ini files has a very specific meaning. Be sure of what you want to express !
Hope this help
Kind Regards
Lionel

"Ahrres" deposit means :
- After the payment of the "Ahrres" deposit, it is possible to cancel the order: be it the buyer or the seller, none can be forced to execute the contract.
- On the other hand, the sums paid in advance are lost, unless otherwise stipulated explicitly in the contract.
- If the seller does not deliver or does not perform the service on which he is engaged, he may be ordered to reimburse the consumer for double the amount of the deposit paid.
- The down payment "Acompte" implies a firm commitment from the seller and the buyer regarding the obligation to buy for the consumer and the obligation to supply merchandise to the merchant. The command can not be undone.
- The deposit is the first payment to be made on a purchase. There is no possibility of cancellation: the consumer or the professional may be condemned to pay damages if he retracts.
