EventBooking PayPal integration was created by Diane Sinicrope
Hi,
We are using EventBooking for a client's website and it is a great extension. Our problem is with the PayPal integration. The client has set up a PayPal business account and we have integrated it to the extension. But when visitors click to pay and are directed to PayPal there is no option to pay with a credit card without creating a PayPal account. I don't know if is related to the extension but thought you might have some knowledge about this? Thank you very much for your help.
I have attached a screenshot of the PayPal page from the website.
The website is dev.aimpoint-solutionsllc.com/index.php
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards, Diane Sinicrope

Hi Diane
Please see this forum post at Paypal website www.paypal-community.com/t5/How-to-use-P...pal-users/td-p/35817 . It explains it very well. Basically, you will need to do two things:
1. Turn on the PayPal Account Optional feature
2. You should clear browser cookie before try to register for the event. The reason is because Paypal might know that you have a Paypal account (via browser cookie) and in that case, they will disable credit card payment option
Please try to follow the instructions and it should work well. It is a Paypal thing and not related to Events Booking
Regards,
Tuan

Hi Tuan,
Thank you very much for your information. The problem actually was that we had the payment set for Test Mode. When we changed it to Live Mode it worked perfectly.
I would like to add a little information for anyone else who has this question. We checked with PayPal and there is no longer an option button within the account- all business accounts give people the option to pay with a credit card. However, if a person has a credit card that is linked to the email address they enter, they must sign in to their account to pay. The only option if they don't want to log in is to use another credit card that is not already registered with their PayPal account.
We are going to have our programmer add the following line to the PayPal information that appears in the EventBooking registration form:
“Pay securely through PayPal using your PayPal account OR a credit or debit card. You do not need a PayPal account.”
Again, thank you for your very quick response, we are looking forward to using your product!
Best regards
Diane

Hi,
I have made some research on PayPal and from my experience seems that Payl force users to create PayPal account.
As Tuan wrote if there is no sign of PayPal account in browser cache it will show an option to enter credit card number directly and create an account at the same time. Next time when user try to register for an event it will show only PayPal login option.
Does anybody know if there is any option to process payment from user without need of creating PayPal account?
Thanks,
Wirex
