Events booking is not sending emails

Events booking is not sending emails was created by Marianne Clausen
I have a problem - when a user registers for an event, event booking doesn't send out any emails (not to me nor to the user).
The user's payment status is 'paid'.

How do I fix this?

I think the reason is because something wrong with mail settings on your site. Could you please go to backend of your site, access to Users-> Users Manager, create a new user to see whether that user receive email or not?

If that user doesn't receive email, that mean there is something wrong with mail settings on your site. You will need to contact your hosting provider and ask them to check it for you. Joomla provides 3 different mail options:

- PHP Mail
- Send Mail
- SMTP

Ask them what option can be used and use the correct one on your site

If that user receives email, then there is something more to check. Please submit a support ticket sending us super admin account of your site so that I can check to see what's wrong and get it corrected for you

I tried to create a new user, and I received an email from the website. So the mail works.

I will send you a ticket with super admin access to the site.

We worked together via support ticket and found that the From Name and From Email which customer entered in From name and From email config option in Events Booking could not be used for sending email, so we just empty the two config options above (so that the system will use From Name and From Email in Site Configuration for sending emails) and it is working well now

We have closed the ticket, but the problem is still there.

I have 13 people who have registered for an event, but I have not received emails nor their payment.

It looks as though emails are not sent when people pay. Emails are sent when people register for a free event.

Please help me.

Hi

Yes, Emails are only sent if users pay for the registration. Did you receive payment for these registrations ? If you receive it, we will need to check it together (check IPN history of the Paypal account which receives payment) to see what's causing the issue and get it sorted.
