Confused with configuration of access levels. was created by sharonob
Hi Tuan,
In the config, there are these options:
Users/Groups can add events from front-end Enter ID of users or groups, who can add events from front-end. Comma seperated.
Users can manage registrants from front-end Enter list of users, who can access to registrants list from front-end
Users/Groups can view registrant list from front-end Enter ID of users/groups which you want to view list of registrants of an event from front-end via [VIEW LIST] link. If you leave it empty, all users can view it
So if I have a user #6 and a usergroup (such as Joomla author) #t6 how should I enter these so that eb knows which is which?
Also I will be adding another parameter, as I need groups that view events (public), groups that create events -but do not publish - (joomla author) and groups that can create and publish events (joomla publisher). I will be able to deal with that once I know how to indicate a group id vs a user id.
Cheers!
Sharonob

Hi Sharonob
In Joomla, a user ID and a group ID could not be the same. As you can see, in Joomla 2.5, the first Joomla user (super user) has ID = 42 (the lowest ID) . The latest Joomla group has ID = 8 (of course you can create other groups but It could not be 34 more groups, correct ?)
So in this case, don't have to worry about the group id and the user id has the same number .
Hope my explanation is clear to you .
Regards,
Tuan
