I have just installed Event Booking on a Joomla 1.6 system and created a test event. I am using authorize.net for payments.

When I display the Event View and click the Register (Individual) button, it takes me to the registration form, which includes the credit card information. That page is NOT a secure page (only http).

When I click the Registration Confirmation page, that IS a secure page (https).

My question is, can the initial registration page be forced to use https for secure access? I personally never enter credit card info on a non-secure page, and I'm sure some registrants will not do so either.

Hi

Please install and publish the plugin below. After that, the whole Event Booking page will be ssl enabled !

Tuan

OK, I installed the plugin and published it.

Now, I get the following error message:

The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This happens if I try to enter the URL with or without https.

It seems to be getting caught in some sort of loop.

I really need to get this site up and running today. Any thoughts?

Further notes:

1. If I disable the ssl plug-in, the link works, but it reverts to http even if I enter the URL using https.

2. In the error console, the following message happens:

www.holytrinitypgh.org : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555

3. There are also a lot of warnings in the error console like:

Warning: Error in parsing value for 'font-size'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: www.holytrinitypgh.org/apps/components/c...assets/css/style.css
Line: 14

Likewise, all the rest of the warnings have to do with parsing errors.

4. i have thoroughly combed the page to be sure there are no non-secure elements (graphics, etc.).

HELP!

Another update!

I disabled the ssl plugin and ran a test charge through with the http url.

It worked, and when i clicked "Registration Confirmation" it switched from the non-secure event details page to the secure confirmation page. It also connected to authorize.net with no problem.

The only piece of this problem apparently still left is that the credit card info is being entered into a NON-secure http page, and I think people will have a problem with this.

Hoping I can get an answer soon ... people are waiting to register!

Thanks!

Hi

It is 3am now, so I will go to bed and will be available in the next 6 hours. Normally, when you install the ssl plugin, it will work well (tested it and used it for other clients before already), not sure why it doesn't work on your site. Maybe there is a plugin on your site causing that !

Please contact me via Skype, YM, MSN or Gtalk so that we can check it together on tomorrow . You can see my contact information at joomdonation.com/index.php?option=com_co...ntact&id=1&Itemid=18

Tuan

Tuan,

Thanks for the offer. I took your advice and checked the plugins for a conflict. It turned out to be another SSL plugin for another event booking system I was evaluating. It also had a plugin that was trying to secure its entire module. As soon as I disabled the plug-in, Event Booking was up and running entirely in SSL!

Looking forward to using your product!
