I think the recurring events are not as default available...please make it as default available which would mean that the default event would be a parent event.
Right now the default is a standard event. Later on it is not possible to change the standard event to a parent event - so you will never have the recurring options available with a standard event...which is kind of dumb...because it is easily possible, if you edit the database directly.
So I would suggest two options to have more user-friendly Event Booking:
1) make parent events as standard so everybody can use recurring events, if needed.
or
2) make an option in the backend to change the standard event into a parent event <-- it is really a dumb setting in the database table of event booking...no big thing to add into the settings - this would save us having to fiddle around with the database.
