Allow sponsors to sign up on the front end of the site

I really think it should be a core function to have a way for people or businesses to register as sponsors of an event on the front end of the site.

Data we would want to collect includes:

1. Event being donated to 
2. Sponsor/Business name
3. Sponsor logo
4. Address
5. Phone
6. Website
7. Email address
8. Cash or product donation?
9. Value of donation
10. Payment field if a cash donation

For #1 it might be good to have the option to either set the form up for a specific event or let the user choose an event. Is this doable?
