In my client’s case, for every event registration, they must order and pay for meals, name badges, T-shirts, etc. for each registrant. These items must be ordered and paid for in advance, and if a registrant should cancel their registration, the event host currently has no method to recoup these lost funds within EB.
What they have been able to do previously is automatically deduct a cancellation fee from the full registration refund if the registration is cancelled after a specified date. This is a drop-dead after which free cancellations are charged a specified cancellation fee.
If EB provided the ability to populate both a ‘Last Date to Cancel’ and a ‘Cancellation Fee’ fields that would be deducted from the full refund, it would help immensely. Otherwise, my client will be forced to disable automated system refunds and process cancellations manually upon cancellation request.
