I'd like to suggest creating an option to list past events in descending order (i.e. most recent events at the top of the list) and yet have future events in ascending order (i.e. an option to list future and past events in a different order from one another).
Not a problem if there are only a few events to list as past events, but if there are a few years' worth of events, it makes sense to see the most recent ones at the top of a list rather than on the end page.
