English language improvements was created by Andreas Nielsen
In general, Event Booking is a fine component, and it forms a key part of my website. However, the English version of the component suffers from a number of spelling mistakes, poor grammar and overly colloquial language, and I think that the language could be improved in this respect. I have attached improved versions of the following files:
messages.eventbooking.sql
config.eventbooking.sql
en-GB.com_eventbooking.ini
The files are just the result of a quick edit, not a thorough review.
I was unable to change the sentence "Please enter information in the form below to send invitation to your friends to invite them to register for the event" in the invite form. I think this should be changed to "Please enter information in the form below to send an invitation for the event" because the term "friends" may be too colloquial (at least on my site it is), because "invite" and "invitation" are unnecessary together, and because the recipients may not wish to register for the event. How can I change this sentence in the component?
Kind regards,
Andreas
