I think this would be a fabulous feature. A map of events would show beneath either the calendar or the table.
These could be asynchronous - ie, no matter which calendar one is looking at (month, week, day, next month etc) the map marks all pinned upcoming events. No location info, no pin. The pin's popup would display the basic info (title, date, street address, readmore link).
