Disable registration by defaultuse was created by Andreas Glenthøj
I also EB as a normal calendar with most events not using the registration feature. Since my users add lots of events, it would be perfect, if I could set "disable registration" as default in the submission form. Is this possible?

@Heman: Do you want to set this to default in front-end event submission form or from back-end event submission form ? Please let me know and I will guide you to edit the code.

Actually, I would like both, but it is most important from the frontend.
I would be most grateful, if you could help me with the coding.

Found the code to edit defaults in the frontend submission form:
/components/com_eventbooking/models/event.php
$row->published = 1 ;
/components/com_eventbooking/models/event.php
$row->published = 1 ;
