Product image alt tags

Hi there,

Can you please tell me if it is possible to add image alt tags to the product images (additional images displayed on product page). For me this is very important, as we are an image focused site. When you add the product images there is no field to add an alt tag.

The additional images does not support the field for entering the value for alt tag.
