The System > Translation is only a translation and not an override in the language file?
So everytime you upgrade Eshop it overwrites all your language changes. it should be changed to be a default language override so when you upgrade your changes remain (but i do like the format it is in at the moment, it makes it very easy to find and change words and sentences.
