Hi
When we add a new document to the storage users are notified with a rather meaningless message:

HiA new document file has been added to the domain.com

I am unable to see a way to improve the message, i.e. that it should contain the name of the new document and perhaps a tokenised link that will open it for the user without having to log in.

Can that be done? If so, how?

Thanks

Hi Pierre,
You mean the message in Edocman or "New document uploaded" notification email?
Thanks

Hi Dam,

"New Document Uploaded" appears to be intended to alert the administrator that a user has uploaded a document.

I am referring to the notification all users receive when a document is uploaded, particularly by the administrator from the administration site.

BTW, we had absolute chaos this morning when I uploaded a batch. Every user received ONE message for each document in the batch:

"Hi A new document file has been added to the domain.com" - some 3000 emails went out, exhausting the server.

Surely notifications in that manner should be avoided when batch uploading?

NB I cannot find a setting to turn the notifications to users off. Can you point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Pierre

Hi Dam
I was wondering whether there is an answer to the issue mentioned here - IE to somehow restrict the number of emails that users will receive when there has been a batch upload of files/documents
Many thanks

Hi Miles,
Programmatically, there is no limit to sending emails. It depends on the capacity of your server, if it is capable of sending many emails at the same time, then you can use it normally.
