How do I update the Access level of documents after the initial load?

I created a Category (Access level SPECIAL), and imported the documents. They correctly come in as special.

I have now created a new access level for my category (say EXEC). If I browse the categories at EXEC level, I now cant see those documents. I understand that. However, how do I now update all the files to the correct Access level (or EXEC) without exporting, deleting & re-importing them? I cannot see how to update the Access level of a document, either individually or on a group basis.

Hi Mark,
To be honest, i am not sure with your idea, but you can try to do follow work to see whether if the Access levels are updated properly.
- Run this link
youdomainname.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_edocman&task=rebuild_categories
and
youdomainname.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_edocman&task=rebuild_documents
Thanks
Dam

Thanks for the response, but that didn't change the access level of the documents.

I got round it by copying the files away, delete them from within EDOCMAN & then re-importing them. That worked ok.
